Essence of I

Who am I?

I am the totality of the Universe acting through a human nervous system.

Where did I come from?

I come from a source that was never born and will never die.

Why am I here?

To create the world in every moment.

I am not in the world. The world is in me.
  • As I am aware, so is the Universe. Consciousness permeates every cell of our bodies. The body is a single lively intelligent self-interacting field of consciousness.

  • I intuitively know that this body that I call me is merely a beacon of consciousness in the representative form of a single being. The whole me is what some call God. I am all.

As a reminder, I imagine myself expanded to include not only a single body, but also my awareness of the space around my body - a room, in a house. I Imagine myself as the house, the people in the house, the neighborhood and my neighbors, the city, country, world, galaxy and entire universe. I imagine myself contracting back down through myself into my cells, all the way into to the atoms that sustain the energy that lives through me. It is all me. It is you. It is us. We are all connected as one. As I gaze into the eyes of another, I am staring into a universe that is staring right back at itself. I recognize this in every interaction with life.

I am constantly manifesting my experience of life. Often time these experiences stimulate an emotional response. I decide to feel happy, depressed, frustrated, exited, ect. In essence, emotions are feelings; they are sensations. In every moment, it is my choice to either act on, react to, interact with or observe these sensations. To act is to respond to a sensation in a new way. To react is to respond as I have in the past. To interact is to join the sensation in an exchange of following (going with the flow) and leading (directing the sensation into something else). To observe is to simply become aware of the sensation without responding to or identifying with it. My unique perception is created by how I choose to relate with and respond to to the experience of now. Therefore, I create my reality. The more I am present and aware, the better tuned I become in consciously choosing my experience.

If we see the self as the living body - made of tissues, cells, atoms - we also understand that all things must live and die. As a single body, we see our lives as ephemeral. We see a start and an end. Though, there is great truth is the phrase, "passing on". By examining the reality of nature (or the nature of reality) we see that we are truly eternal. Death, as we commonly understand it, is an illusion. Life is constantly renewing; changing into something new. Death is simply the end of a moment and beginning of the next. In every moment we are given the opportunity to be reborn; to evolve.

Our common understanding of time is also illusionary. We all choose the memories we hold onto and the future we look forward to, though no matter what, it is all happening now. I cannot be in any time but now because there is no other time. If a thought of the past or future occurs in the mind, it has been brought into the present moment. Instead of bringing these thoughts into presence, I bring the presence of being aware of this moment now. In this way, I fulfill my life's purpose: to integrate with and become the conscious awareness which co-creates the universe.

(these notes are my reminder - the universal truths that have always set me free)
